Register for the DHT Press Run/Walk

Now that we have the 2017 Brian Harms Memorial Race under our belts, it’s time to register for the DHT Press Run.  Click here for our info page, which includes details on registration.

If you completed any distance in the Brian Harms, and you participate in the DHT Press Run, you will be entered in our 2/14 challenge (complete 2 races in 14 days) to win a $214 gift card to use at any of our sponsors.

If you complete the Brian Harms, DHT Press Run, and Roots & Ruts, you’ll be entered into our Triple Crown Challenge to win a Garmin Forerunner 35 from the Walk, Run & More store.

21K Run, 10K Run, 10K Walk, 5K Run, 5K Walk and a 3K Kids walk/run.

Start Times – 3K Kids Race 8:15 am, 21K 9am, 10K 9:15, 5K 9:30

Spring Training Registration Now Open

Grande Prairie Run/Walk Club

Spring Training (formally known as DHT Press Run/Walk Training)

Training schedules:

10 weekly sessions (outdoor only)
Sunday mornings
March 20 – May 22, 2016
Walking / 5K / 10K / 21K training groups
All groups meet at 9:00AM at the Eastlink Centre*
(Next to the Fieldhouse/Second Cup on the main floor)
You can also register in-person at our AGM on March 13

Completely FREE with the purchase of a 2016 GPRWC membership (value of $40)!

 You must have a current GPRWC membership in order to participate in the training groups!
 * You do not need to be a member of the Eastlink Centre!

Choose your distance and training level, and our awesome volunteer training leaders will help you reach your goal!
You’ll get lots of encouragement and advice, plus the chance to meet some great training buddies!  You’ll pin on your race bib with confidence and feel great as you cross the finish line! Spring Training is also a great way to get in shape for other races, or soccer, cycling, softball, golf, and other summer sports!

Co-Director for the DHT Press Run/Walk


The Grande Prairie Run/Walk Club is looking for at least one Co-Race Director, to work with our current race director, to help plan the 40th DHT Press Run/Walk! This is going to be a great event but we need your help to make it possible.

Event date: Saturday, May 28, 2016.

What’s in it for you?

  • The volunteer experience will look great on any résumé
  • It’s a great opportunity to get involved with the community
  • Gain the experience necessary to direct more races in the future
  • Meet awesome new people

Here’s what we need from you:

  • We will need the successful volunteers to attend the monthly club meetings, held on the first Tuesday of the month at Tito’s Bistro from 7-9 pm
  • Familiarity with Muskoseepi Park trails is an asset
  • Reports to the GP Run/Walk Club
  • Your time commitment on race day and leading up to the race
